Humanitarian Day events in Tavush 31 Aug - 2 Sept, 2016

Every day, humanitarian aid workers stand on the front lines of war and disaster, braving tremendous dangers and difficulties to deliver assistance to those who need it most.

UNO/DPI Yerevan Office jointly with Armenia offices of UNOCHA, UNHCR, UNICEF, WFP and other partners, together with the local border communities of Tavush Province of Armenia (Berd, Nerqin Karmraghbyur, Aygepar and Movses) will celebrate the World Humanitarian Day, connecting the Humanitarian Agenda with the 2030 Global Agenda.

The school-children of the borderline communities of Nerqin Karmraghbyur, Aygepar and Movses will be introduced with the United Nations and will participate in a blitz contest. The children will receive gifts from UN agencies, the winners of the contest will get symbolic prizes.

The high-school students of the city of Berd of the Tavush province will also attend an outreach event during which they will be introduced with the UN Humanitarian Agenda and the SDGs leading to the year 2030. They will also participate in inter-active role plays.
