The Armenian Rescue Service had organized a competition titled “Disasters through Children’s Eyes,” among the school-children of Ararat marz. The final selection and awards giving ceremony of the winners took place on October 8, on the International Day for Disaster Reduction, in the Ditak community of the marz . For this purpose an exhibition of the paintings were organized in the community school which was aimed at increasing public awareness on disaster risk reduction in Ararat region. The winners of the competition were granted awards prepared by UN Armenia Office, the Armenian Rescue Service and the Governor's Office.
